Job summary

Bitdeer is building an AI-operated GPU cloud and a global fleet of data centers. As an entry-level SRE/Monitoring Platform engineer, you contribute to the NeoCloud SRE platform, taking scoped components from design to production code that ships through GitOps + the CICD release pipeline, following Plugin Framework conventions, and meeting declared SLOs.

This is a build + learn role. You write code, write tests, and operate what you build under the guidance of a senior engineer.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of software engineering experience (new grads welcome).
• Solid fundamentals in Go, Python, Java, or Rust.
• CS basics: data structures, algorithms, concurrency, networking, OS concepts.
• Distributed systems basics: idempotency, retries, back-pressure, caching, eventual consistency.
• Linux and shell familiarity; Kubernetes basics.
• Git + CI/CD workflows; unit and integration testing habit.
• Clear written and verbal English; eagerness to learn GPU/AI infra.
• Nice-to-haves: exposure to monitoring/observability tools and cloud-native projects.

Responsibilities

• Build collection-agent, metrics-store, logs-store, traces-store, and enrichment-service.
• Implement and tune alert rules; contribute to alert-engine-framework and SLO framework.
• Develop topology-service and cluster-health tooling for K8s/Ray/Volcano-like environments.
• Support remediation workflows, job-scheduler, and orchestration components.
• Add observability instrumentation with OpenTelemetry and build dashboards.
• Write unit/integration/contract tests; participate in chaos and soak tests.
