Job summary

Katalyst in the United States is seeking an electrical engineer to design, analyze, and operate spacecraft electrical and avionics systems, including power and integrated hardware. You will contribute to requirements development, schematic design, and flight hardware integration.

You will work hands-on with schematics, boards, flight hardware, and test equipment, collaborating across mechanical, GNC, propulsion, software, and mission operations to ensure timely, reliable hardware for challenging

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or expected).
  • Hands-on experience with circuits, embedded systems, power electronics, sensors, or related fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated ability to break down electrical problems, build models, and validate with tests or simulations.
  • Clear written and verbal technical communication of designs and tests.
  • Willingness to work hands-on in lab/office environments and accept feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, develop, integrate, test, and operate spacecraft electrical and avionics systems (power, embedded electronics, sensors, interfaces, flight hardware).
  • Own electrical engineering problems from requirements to hardware closure with senior support.
  • Work hands-on with schematics, boards, flight hardware, sensors, harnesses, bench equipment, and test equipment.
  • Participate in design reviews, board bring-up, hardware builds, integration, test campaigns, anomaly investigations, and mission-readiness activities.
  • Collaborate across mechanical, GNC, propulsion, software, systems, manufacturing, and mission operations to understand electrical interfaces.
