Job summary

Arcfield seeks an entry-level software professional in Rhode Island to contribute to application development and testing across Linux, Windows, and web technologies. You will learn to modify software and test documentation while supporting integration activities in an Agile Scrum setting.

The role emphasizes strong problem-solving, effective communication, and the ability to thrive in both independent and mentor-guided team environments, with exposure to Unix/Linux and potential web/database

Qualifications

• Object-oriented programming in C++ and/or Java.
• Experience with Eclipse IDE and Jira, Bamboo, and Git.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and with mentors in a team coding environment.
• Experience with UNIX- or Linux-based systems is a plus.
• Experience in web development and/or databases is a plus.

Qualifications

• HS 5-6 Years, Pursuing a BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field
• Object-oriented programming experience in C++ and/or Java
• Familiar with Integrated Development Environments such as Eclipse, and tools such as Jira, Bamboo and Git
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Effective written and verbal skills
• Able to work and thrive in both individual and team coding environments with mentors
• Experience with development under UNIX- or Linux-based systems is a plus
• Experience in web development, and/or databases is a plus

This is the projected compensation range for this position.
