As a Software Engineer I you will contribute to building and maintaining reliable, scalable software systems that support warehouse automation and customer operations. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will develop software solutions, enhance platform capabilities, and gain experience with APIs, telemetry, and data-driven systems that deliver value to customers. This role is ideal for an engineer early in their career who is eager to learn modern software development practices and contribute to production systems in a collaborative environment.
Develop, test, and maintain software components under the guidance of senior team members. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following established coding standards and best practices. Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality. Assist in developing and maintaining APIs and system integrations. Contribute to monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving software issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and enhancements. Support efforts to improve system reliability, scalability, and observability. Learn and apply modern software development methodologies, tools, and engineering practices. Participate in team discussions, knowledge-sharing activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 0-2 years of software development experience, including internships, co-op programs, academic projects, or professional experience. Experience with at least one modern programming language such as TypeScript, C#, Java, Python, or similar. Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git. Basic understanding of APIs and web services. Knowledge of software development fundamentals, including object-oriented design principles and data structures. Exposure to relational databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server. Familiarity with cloud platforms, distributed systems, or messaging technologies is a plus. Exposure to authentication and authorization concepts such as OAuth is a plus. Must not require visa support to work in the USA.
