Job summary

GuideStone Financial Resources in Dallas, Texas is seeking an entry-level Associate Software Developer to learn core C#/.NET skills, integrate into Agile teams, and contribute to well-defined tasks within the software engineering practice.

You will be mentored while gaining hands-on experience with the Microsoft stack (Visual Studio, SQL Server, Azure), write automated tests, and participate in the full development lifecycle in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management of Information Systems is required.
• 0–2 years of work experience in software development or related field.
• Demonstrable knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Commitment to continuous learning and sharing ideas with teammates.
• Interest in the Microsoft stack: Visual Studio, SQL Server, Azure, etc.
• Willing to work in a hybrid office environment (three days in office, rest WFA).

Responsibilities

• Complete training and demonstrate competency in core C# language and OO principles.
• Write C# code in Visual Studio using feature branches and toggles.
• Write automated tests for code changes (UI code excluded).
• Manually test coding changes in a local environment.
• Create QA test cases and collaborate with business teams for QA testing.
• Write T-SQL to maintain stored procedures, tables, indexes, and views in SQL Server.
• Submit code changes using Git via Azure DevOps.
• Regularly meet with the scrum team to prioritize work.
• Monitor, track, and fix errors; view build/release status via Azure Pipelines.
• Mentor and be mentored within the organization.
