Interlake Steamship Company is seeking an Entry-Level Engineer to fill Wiper/Conveyorman roles in Middleburg Heights, OH. The position supports the Engineering Department and cargo handling operations aboard our vessels.
Primary duties include maintenance of cargo handling systems, equipment inspection, and adherence to SMS protocols. Credential requirements include MMC, Medical Certificate, and TWIC, with English language proficiency emphasized.
Competenze
- Basic English comprehension for shipboard commands.
- Ability to work in a shipboard environment seven days a week.
Mansioni
- Maintain and operate cargo handling system as Conveyorman or assist in engineering spaces.
- Monitor and report cargo handling equipment needs to First Assistant Engineer.
- Communicate effectively following the Station Bill and safety procedures.
