Job summary

City of Atlanta is seeking an entry-level Pollution Control Monitor to install, maintain, and repair sewer flow monitoring equipment in manholes and field stations. You will support hydraulic modeling, billing for wholesale wastewater, and rainfall and surface water monitoring as part of the Environmental Monitoring Division.

Under general supervision, you will visit sites, perform tests and repairs, document findings, and assist in spill remediation; travel and inclement weather are possible,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least one year in flow/remote monitoring.
• Knowledge of pass confined space entry certification after training.
• Ability to read technical reports and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair sewer flow monitoring equipment.
• Monitor sites and inspect assets; report issues and coordinate with staff.
• Conduct tests and assist in spill remediation and data processing.
• Perform office and field tasks including inventory and safety meetings.
