Job Description

This multi-tasked position handles the delivery of office equipment, production printing, and large format printing devices, as well as supporting equipment set-ups in our Pittsburgh, PA warehouse, all while receiving on-the-job training to become a Field Service Technician. The candidate must be able to respond to the ongoing needs for the overall functioning of the warehouse/organization.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Deliver equipment and supplies to our customers in a safe and professional manner.
  2. Assist with receiving all freight shipments, verify counts upon receipt, and shelve inventory items.
  3. Unbox, set-up, and test equipment.
  4. Participate in training certifications and in-person classes.
  5. Ship parts, supplies, and equipment.
  6. Trace shipments in question.
  7. Provide general office maintenance, including light bulb replacement and grounds upkeep.
  8. Make emergency deliveries, pick up used equipment from customer locations, and acquire parts, tools, and equipment locally.
  9. Maintain warehouse cleanliness and ensure delivery trucks are well-maintained.
  10. Participate in the recycling program.
  11. Maintain a professional and safe environment at all times.
  12. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Clean driving record with the ability to drive a van or light truck.
  • DOT certification, if required.
  • Forklift certification is a plus; training will be provided. Ability to operate a Stair Climber is also a plus.
  • Ability to read and write legibly.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Data entry skills (training provided).
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Industry experience in a similar field is preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL FUNCTIONS, AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally, with safe lifting techniques.
  • Ability to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to push and pull objects with moderate effort frequently.
  • Stand and remain on feet for up to 8 hours per day, with 4 hours continuous.
  • Perform motor skills such as grasping, bending, reaching, twisting, and turning for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Effective communication with colleagues and freight carriers.
  • Visual acuity to see objects clearly, discriminate colors, and perceive depth.
  • Ability to understand and apply concepts continuously.
  • Memory for multiple tasks and assignments over long periods.
