Job description

The Lube Technician is expected to:

  • Protect the legal, financial, and moral well-being of the dealership;
  • Perform lube, oil, filter, and multipoint service for customer vehicles;
  • Support other employees' success by being a teacher and mentor;
  • Seek ways to improve business operations, efficiency, and customer service.
Primary Duties:
  1. Ensure maximum productivity, customer service, and cost control.
  • Perform all lube, oil, filter, and multi-point inspection processes accurately.
  • Assess any additional vehicle needs.
  • Maintain quality service and notify management of any substandard processes or parts.
  • Keep vehicles clean during servicing and repairs.
  • Achieve customer satisfaction through prompt, accurate service and communication.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment adhering to OSHA/EPA standards.
  • Perform any additional duties as requested by management.
  • Operate with integrity:
    • Uphold high ethical standards.
    • Set an example of professionalism, positivity, and safety.
    • Maintain an orderly, safe, and neat work environment.
    Job Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
    • At least one year of experience as a technician's assistant or apprentice.
    • Valid driver's license and a clean MVR per company policy.
    • State inspection license preferred.
    Physical Requirements:
    • Work in a shop environment, exposed to weather, noise, dust, fumes, chemicals, and adhesives.
    • Lift up to 100 lbs.
    • Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers.
    • Occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
    • Have vision capabilities including close, distance, peripheral, and focus adjustment.
    • Operate equipment and move vehicles safely.
