Job summary

Dallas Trailer Repair Co. in Lenexa, KS is seeking an entry level Semi Trailer Technician. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on trailers and related equipment, using a range of hand and power tools.

Ideal candidates have mechanical aptitude, basic math, and can read and write in English for documentation. Must supply own tools and safety gear, hold a valid driver’s license, and pass pre-employment checks. Training and development are provided.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment knowledge/skill test, background check and drug/medical exam.
• Proven mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Ability to read and write in English for documentation and communication.
• Must have own tools and safety gear (steel-toed shoes, welding protection).
• Possesses a valid driver’s license; insurability per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose trailers and related equipment for mechanical issues and faulty parts.
• Perform repairs according to industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on trailers and related equipment.
• Document cause/complaint/correction in software system.
• Maintain a clean, safe workplace and proper tool care.
• Collaborate with coworkers and support team goals while working independently.
• Follow health and safety rules and guidelines.
