Job summary

RTX's Cybersecurity Engineering team in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Secure Systems Engineer I to join a shared services group supporting product security across the Avionics SBUs. You will develop threat models and information flow diagrams, implement MAC via SELinux, and run fuzzing to assess attack surfaces.

Embed with development teams, review code for security weaknesses, conduct vulnerability assessments, and help create security documentation for Airworthiness Certification.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Coding experience in C++ or Python.
• Familiarity with Linux OS.

Responsibilities

• Develop threat models and data flow diagrams to ensure data isolation.
• Embed with development teams to address product security concerns.
• Develop and execute fuzzing and robustness tests to evaluate attack surface.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments of proposed and in-service systems.
• Assist with creation of security documentation to support Airworthiness Certification.
