Job summary

Stockton Unified School District is seeking a Food Service Assistant to support meal preparation and service at district sites. The role involves assisting with cooking, serving, and maintaining sanitary kitchen facilities for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in quantity food preparation or service.
• Completion of California Food Handlers Permit within three months of appointment.
• Must maintain a valid food handler card.

Responsibilities

• Assist in quantity preparation and serving of foods at an assigned site.
• Maintain food service facilities, equipment and utensils in clean and sanitary condition.
• Prepare food and beverages for sale; stock condiments, food items and paper goods.
• Assist in preparing foods for special needs diets and inventory as directed.
• Train and guide other food service personnel as needed.
• Operate food service equipment and POS/cashier duties.
