LJB Inc. in Raleigh or Charlotte, North Carolina, is seeking an Entry Level Roadway Engineer to launch a career in transportation design. You will perform roadway design tasks from preliminary to final design and work with senior engineers in a collaborative, mentorship-rich environment.

This full-time role offers exposure to CAD-based drawings, coordination with DOT projects, and opportunities for growth as you contribute to safe and efficient transportation solutions across North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 1+ years of roadway design experience.
• Experience with Municipal or State DOTs.
• EIT Certification (preferred).
• MicroStation, GEOPAK or OpenRoads experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform roadway design tasks from preliminary to final design.
• Provide engineering design services for traditional and design-build projects.
• Utilize CAD software to prepare detailed drawings and plans.
• Assist in construction documents, specs and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with senior engineers to ensure progress and compliance.
