Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking an Entry Level Roadway Construction Engineer to join our field-focused team. You will interpret plans, perform field tests, and verify elevations to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.

A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is required, with 1–4 years of roadway inspection experience preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a company motor vehicle screening.

• Must pass JMT Motor Vehicle screening.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, site layouts, specifications and construction methods to ensure compliance with laws and safety regulations.
• Perform routine tests on concrete, soils and other materials.
• Measure dimensions and verify grade, alignment, and elevation to ensure compliance with plans and codes.
• Gather and maintain record documents; take field notes and computations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
