Job summary

Eastman in Kingsport, TN is seeking an entry-level Retirement Plans Analyst to support administration, processing, reporting, and compliance for the company’s retirement plans, including 401(k) and pension offerings. The role works under supervision and interfaces with Payroll, HRIS, Finance, and external vendors to ensure accurate plan administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, finance, accounting, business administration, data analytics, or related field; up to ~2 years of related experience may be considered.
• Basic to intermediate Excel with willingness to develop advanced skills (pivot tables, lookups, data reconciliation).
• Exposure to SAP, HRIS, payroll systems or similar platforms is helpful but not required; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support biweekly payroll processing for 401(k) contributions and HSA, including resolving routine file errors and reconciling payroll.
• Assist with annual 401(k) and employer-match true-up processes, including data collection and reporting.
• Support 409A processing for non-qualified retirement plans using SAP, HRIS, and Excel.
• Submit and monitor routine service requests through vendor systems and escalate complex issues.
