Job summary

McLeod Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care and perform respiratory procedures across the facility. The role emphasizes timely documentation, professional conduct, and adherence to service excellence standards.

New graduates with NBRC credentials have a defined 3-month path to achieve RRT after hire or graduation date. ACLS and PALS certifications must be completed within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited CoARC program.
• NBRC Continuing Competency Program participation to maintain credential if received after July 1, 2002.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or new graduate with 3 months to obtain RRT after hire/graduation.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care and Respiratory Care procedures throughout the facility.
• Documents and maintains records and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Responds to emergency alerts and communicates information to other caregivers.
• Exhibits professional image and maintains Service Excellence Standards with patients, visitors and staff.
