Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking an entry-level research data analyst to gather, analyze, and interpret a wide variety of research data. You will design studies, perform statistical analyses, and prepare reports and visualizations to communicate results within the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center environment.

Under supervision, you will learn to use Tableau, Jaspersoft, Power BI, SQL, Python, and R, contributing to small projects and supporting internal stakeholders with data-driven

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
• Acquiring knowledge of research function. Acquiring ability to perform research analysis duties.
• Acquiring statistical analysis, systems programming, and database design skills to perform research analysis duties.
• Ability to effectively manage time and see assigned parts of projects through to completion on deadline.
• Basic consultation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs and conducts research including selecting data samples and developing instruments.
• Analyzes data using established statistical methods and develops recommendations.
• Prepares reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids to interpret results.
• Supports data collection, preparation, cleaning, and review of research data.
• Assists with report preparation and data analysis for internal stakeholders.
• Uses data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau, Jaspersoft, Power BI, and similar platforms.
