Job Overview:

Schneider is seeking an Entry Level Repair Technician in Green Bay, WI, to rebuild mechanical and electrical tractor and trailer components. The Repair Technician will collaborate with Schneider maintenance associates and outside vendor representatives to diagnose failures and determine repair approaches.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, clean, evaluate, test, and rebuild semi-truck components such as cab heaters, pumps, alternators, radiators, transmissions, and compressors.
• Receive inventory, stock shelves, pull orders, and unload trailers.
• Utilize a forklift to unload and stock parts.
• Communicate with maintenance staff, drivers, and operations teams regarding repair status.
• Follow repair guidelines and standard operating procedures.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and understand technical reference materials.
• Own tools within 30 days of hire.
• Previous welding and electrical experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
