Job summary

Renewable Careers Limited is expanding its New York team and seeking an entry-level engineer to help build, own and operate renewable energy projects across solar, wind, and BESS. You will learn from experienced engineers and gradually take on real responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle.

The role emphasizes hands-on work, data-driven analysis, and collaboration with utilities and EPCs, with hybrid work from our New York office and a structured development path.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, civil or environmental engineering or related field.
• Interest in renewable energy and clean energy transition.
• Strong analytical ability and comfort with data and spreadsheets.
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to simplify technical topics.
• Initiative and curiosity; ownership and fast learning.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Internship or project experience in energy is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering design and technical reviews for solar, wind and BESS projects at every stage.
• Prepare energy production estimates, site evaluations and technical due diligence.
• Assist with interconnection applications and coordination with utilities and grid operators.
• Review technical submittals from EPC contractors, consultants and equipment vendors.
• Support construction and commissioning activities, with travel to project sites.
• Analyze operating data from the fleet and identify performance improvements.
• Contribute to the tools, templates and standards used by the engineering team.
