Job summary

Atlantic Staffing Consultants has an immediate opening for a Recycling Sorter at the Jacksonville Recycling Facility. The role is entry-level with overtime opportunities and regular full-time hours, offering a path for growth within the client company.

Typical shifts are Monday–Friday 6 AM–6 PM with overtime as needed. Starting pay is $10.81/hour with $16.22 overtime. Applicants must be 18+, able to stand long periods, lift 25 lbs, and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs and work over 40 hours per week with overtime.
• Clean criminal background required and 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Sort and segregate recoverable materials from incoming material.
• Deposit items into proper chutes and assist others as needed.
• Follow all safety policies including stopping conveyors in emergencies.
• Inspect loads for unacceptable material and remove items as required.
• Maintain clean recycling area and handle waste as directed.
