Recology King County in Seattle seeks an entry-level sorter to separate recyclable materials from waste under close supervision. Shifts are four 10-hour days, Mon Tue Thu Fri, from 5:00am to 3:30pm, with training and safety emphasis throughout.

This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and the Waste Zero mindset, with opportunities to develop exposure to various materials and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced MRF environment.

Qualifications

• Follow safety rules, procedures, and local regulations.
• Understand job hazards and stay aware of surroundings.
• Promote the WASTE ZERO philosophy in daily work.

Responsabilités

• Sort recyclable materials by type and separate from waste.
• Identify recyclables vs non-recyclables on a conveyor.
• Empty and change containers for sorted materials.
• Maintain a safe work area and report hazards.
• Follow policies on hazardous materials handling.
• Adhere to company procedures and local/state rules.
