Job summary

The City of Garland seeks a facilities helper to assist with building maintenance and customer service for all activities, events, and services at PRCAD facilities. The position starts at $15.94/hour, depending on qualifications, with open availability on Saturdays.

Responsibilities include informing the public about programs and schedules, maintaining equipment and supplies, registering participants, keeping the building clean and safe, enforcing city policies, and assisting with recreation

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist the public with information regarding programs, schedules and related information.
• Assist in control of equipment and supplies.
• Provide customer services to patrons in person and on the phone.
• Register participants in the computer system.
• Maintain a clean and safe building by sweeping, mopping, picking up litter, etc.
• Enforce and maintain City and Departmental policies as needed.
• Interpret and relate departmental rules and policies.
