Job summary

Trinity Industries is seeking an entry-level Write-Up Inspector at our Saginaw, TX facility. This role involves physical inspection of inbound railcars, confirming cleaning certificates, and documenting AAR defects.

You will use TAS, MARS, ALLTRANSTEK & INET systems to prepare estimates and ensure accuracy in the billing process. Requires a High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years related experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years related work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) or similar productivity tools.
• Willing/ability to learn American Railroad Association (AAR) and Trinity Rail codes, standards, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical inspection of inbound railcars.
• Identify and document all running numbers and verify cleaning certificate of railcar.
• Identify and document any AAR defects on railcars and review scope of work.
• Create BRC (Billing Repair Card) estimates based on shopping instructions and findings.
• Submit estimates for review and approvals from fleet manager or customer.
