Responsibilities

• Uses radiation safety measures to comply with government regulations and ensure safety of patients and staff.
• Reviews and evaluates x-rays for diagnostic quality per ALARA guidelines.
• Positions imaging equipment and sets exposure parameters per examination.
• Explains procedures and observes patients to ensure safety and comfort during exams.
• Operates radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images and manages patient data.
• Maintains imaging records in RIS and ensures image quality in PACS.
