Job summary

SHINE Technologies is seeking an Entry Level R&D Chemist to develop and implement activities related to radiochemical separation techniques and processes to support the commercialization of spent nuclear fuel reprocessing and transmutation.

The base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

Qualifications

• B.S. in chemistry or related field.
• Hands-on laboratory experience in a research environment.
• Ability to plan and execute experiments and analyze data.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform experimental and prototyping activities involving chemical and radiochemical handling, processing, sampling, and analysis.
• Develop experimental designs, test plans, and operating procedures for chemical and radiochemical processes.
• Conduct liquid-liquid extraction, ion exchange chromatography, and other separation processes involving actinides, lanthanides, and fission products.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data and document results in technical reports and presentations.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and analytical instrumentation.
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
