Job summary

SHINE Technologies LLC is seeking an Entry Level R&D Chemist to develop and implement activities and experiments related to radiochemical separation techniques and processes to support the commercialization of spent nuclear fuel reprocessing and transmutation. The base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in chemistry or related scientific discipline.
  • Hands-on laboratory experience and willingness to work with new technologies.
  • Ability to plan and execute experiments and document results.
  • Ability to work independently and on a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform experimental and prototyping activities involving chemical and radiochemical handling, processing, sampling, and analysis.
  • Develop experimental designs, test plans, and operating procedures for chemical and radiochemical processes.
  • Conduct liquid-liquid extraction, ion exchange chromatography, and other separation processes involving actinides, lanthanides, and fission products.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data and document results in technical reports and presentations.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and analytical instrumentation.
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
