Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Radiation Therapy or related field.
• Knowledge of treatment planning and treatment techniques.
• Knowledge of record and verify systems, radiation oncology equipment and electronic medical record systems.
• Knowledge and ability to learn and apply complex radiation therapy principles.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist.
• Reviews images and port films for patient setups and verification.
• Performs daily QA on equipment prior to treatment and reports irregularities.
• Enters and maintains patient treatment parameters in electronic medical records.
• Maintains patient appointment schedule and ensures proper charge capture for treatments.
• Performs CT simulation, creates immobilization, and computes monitor units as needed.
