Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA, is hiring a Radiation Therapists I to provide radiation therapy to patients under supervision of a Radiation Oncologist. The role requires an Associate degree in radiologic technology and ARRT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology is required.
• ARRT certification is preferred.
• New graduates will remain Radiation Therapist I for the first 2 years and must pass boards within 6 months of hire.
• Completion of an approved certification program prior to 2016 in lieu of Associates degree will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist according to established practices and standards.
