Job summary

Astronics CSC is seeking an entry-level Quality Inspector to support the Quality Organization in Illinois. The role focuses on ensuring compliance to customer and industry standards, inspecting parts and processes, and escalating inconsistencies on the production line.

You will verify documentation, perform in-process checks, and report results in ERP while adhering to safety and quality policies. This entry-level position offers growth within a standards-driven manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Read and understand process documents and industry standards.
• Team player with good interaction skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Must understand basic math, including fractions, decimals, and geometry.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Inspect documentation tied up to the received parts, including prints, drawings and test reports.
• In-Process Inspection to ensure production follows work instructions and blueprints.
• Verify electrical test setup and final results for each job.
• Fulfill and deliver inspection reports as required.
• Report inspection activities in the ERP system.
• Follow escalation process on quality, manufacturing, supplier issues.
• Issue Discrepant Material Reports (DMR) and follow up disposition.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management System and customer requirements.
• Follow safety protocols and ethical guidelines.
