Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Entry Level QC Technician to assist in routine chemical analyses of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability samples. You will document results, follow SOPs/GLPs, and support quality initiatives under supervision.

You will contribute to continuous improvement, work with cross-functional teams, and help ensure products meet quality standards and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0-3 years in a lab, manufacturing, or quality control environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in analyses.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reagents, solutions, and standards for testing.
• Evaluate materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability samples.
• Follow SOPs and GLPs to ensure accurate and precise test results.
• Record and document analytical data per quality standards.
• Support QMS and ISO requirements to ensure compliance with policies.
• Participate in CAPA activities to investigate and improve processes.
• Prepare test reports for QC Supervisor/Manager.
• Maintain and verify operation of laboratory instruments.
• Troubleshoot instruments and perform minor repairs.
• Identify quality trends and escalate observations.
• Support investigations involving out-of-spec results and customer complaints.
• Monitor quality data using SPC to identify trends.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a safe, organized laboratory environment.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, R&D, and Technical Service.
