Cadrex in Wisconsin seeks a Punch Press Set-Up I to assist with setup and basic operation of punch press machines used in metal fabrication. You will load materials, select tooling, and help ensure parts meet specifications in a safety‑minded shop.

This entry‑level role emphasizes mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and teamwork. You will follow setup sheets, log machine settings, assist with routine cleaning and minor maintenance, and communicate with operators to keep production flowing.

Competenze

• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or machine operations preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and basic drawings.
• Familiarity with hand tools and measuring devices.

Mansioni

• Assist with setting up punch press machines for daily production runs, including loading raw materials and selecting correct tooling.
• Help install dies and punches under the guidance of senior technicians, ensuring correct alignment and secure fastening.
• Operate punch press machinery under supervision to produce metal parts according to specifications.
• Perform basic inspections of finished parts using calipers and gauges to ensure quality standards.
• Adhere to safety guidelines, wear PPE, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow setup sheets and work orders; assist with logging production data and machine settings.
• Support routine cleaning and minor maintenance tasks to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Communicate effectively with operators, supervisors, and maintenance staff to ensure smooth production flow.
