Job summary

City of El Dorado, Kansas is seeking an entry-level Public Works Maintenance Worker to maintain streets and infrastructure. The role involves operating equipment, performing repairs, and supporting the City’s public works projects.

Starting pay is $17.45 per hour with a structured step-guidance placement. Four 10-hour days; health, dental, and vision benefits begin after 60 days, plus retirement and leave programs.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position; no prior experience required.
• Valid Kansas Driver's License; Class B CDL within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain streets, alleys, parking lots and drainage areas.
• Respond to supervisor requests accurately and promptly.
• Install and maintain City signs, road markings, striping and delineators; paint street lines and crosswalks.
• Perform concrete sidewalk, curb, gutter and ramp installation and repair.
