City of Palmdale is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Helper to support the Maintenance Division. The role involves a variety of unskilled to semi-skilled tasks in building, park, and street maintenance, under supervision.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED and completion of at least one vocational course.
• One year of experience with similar maintenance work.
• Possession of a valid California driver’s license and auto insurance by time of appointment.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in servicing heating and air conditioning units.
• Assist in painting City buildings and facilities.
• Assist in changing light bulbs.
• Assist in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain tools and equipment.
• Perform basic landscaping tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and watering.
• Assist in pruning trees and planting/removing trees.
• Assist in sprinkler system installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Handle routine street maintenance activities.
