Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside in New York, NY is seeking an entry-level Physical Therapist to join a multi-disciplinary team with rotations across inpatient, outpatient and acute services.

The role requires a Masters degree (DPT preferred) and 0-1 year of experience; vestibular rehab experience is preferred. Must be an active APTA member and follow all Mount Sinai policies. This position offers exposure to diverse patient populations and a supportive professional environment.

Qualifications

• Vestibular Rehab experience preferred.
• Schedule one day per week TBD.
• Masters Degree required, DPT preferred.
• 0-1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial examinations, establishes goals, plans and implements treatment interventions.
• Coordinates with other disciplines and documents examinations, progress notes, summaries and discharge summaries.
• Provides training to families or care partners and medical personnel.
• Recommends appropriate durable medical equipment and writes letters of medical necessity.
• Participates in discharge planning and home exercise programs.
• Attends conferences, rounds and meetings.
• May be assigned additional patients as needed and attends clinics.
• Maintains therapy attendance records, patient charges and statistics.
• Supervises Rehab Patient Care Associates, volunteers, and students.
• Must follow Mount Sinai policies and procedures.
