Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an engineer to join the Boost Control System IPT, focusing on the Gas Generator components. You will manage hardware, develop technical solutions, and potentially lead components through life-cycle stages, collaborating with Navy partners, LM leadership and suppliers.

The role emphasizes propulsion, rocketry, and mechanical design knowledge, with opportunities for career development and security clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Clear understanding of the Engineering Lifecycle.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Exposure to propulsion, rocketry, aerodynamics, mechanisms or fluids is a plus.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage hardware components across life-cycle stages.
• Develop technical solutions and documentation for GG/BCS systems.
• Potentially lead component work across qualification, production and service.
• Collaborate with Navy partner, Lockheed Martin leadership and suppliers.
• Represent the BCS IPT in technical discussions with stakeholders.
