Job summary

ARCO a Family of Construction Companies is seeking a Project Manager to lead managerial and administrative aspects of diverse design-build projects. You will oversee estimating, scheduling, cost reporting, and safety, while collaborating with owners and the design team to develop concepts.

The role emphasizes proposals, buyout oversight, and regular site meetings. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management is required, with 0–3 years of PM experience preferred.

  • Experience with estimating, scheduling, and design coordination is desirable.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project administration, estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, and cost reporting.
  • Develop preliminary concept drawings with owners and the design team.
  • Lead proposal meetings to review scope, costs, and value engineering ideas.
  • Oversee buyout and subcontractor selection; conduct bi-weekly site meetings.
  • Make sound decisions under deadlines and balance multiple activities.

A Day In The Life
  • Responsible for managerial and administrative aspects of a project. Including, estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation
  • Ensure an accurate and complete project estimate
  • Work closely with owners and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings
  • Participate in the proposal meeting with the owner to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, and provide value engineering ideas
  • Oversee the buyout process and the selection of subcontractors
  • Conduct bi-weekly job site meetings
  • Make sound decisions under tight deadlines
  • Organize, plan and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results
  • Commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes
  • Make necessary changes, use customer input to make improvements, and meet/exceed internal and external client expectations
  • Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and other associates, while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations
Necessary Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field required
  • 0-3 years project management experience with a general contractor preferred but not required
  • Experience running ground-up projects. Warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, cold storage, and/or lab/pharma facilities highly preferred
  • Estimation experience preferred
  • Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project
