ARCO Companies in Irvine, CA is seeking an Entry Level Project Manager in Construction to join our team. You will handle managerial and administrative aspects of construction projects, coordinate with owners and design teams, and contribute to cost estimates and scheduling.

The role emphasizes learning through hands-on project oversight, supporting buyouts, and conducting regular site meetings while upholding ARCO's standards for safety, quality, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 0–3 years project management experience with a general contractor preferred.
• Experience running ground-up projects; warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, cold storage, and/or lab/pharma facilities highly preferred.
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Manage administrative aspects of a project, including estimating, scheduling, quality control and progress reports.
• Collaborate with owners and design team to develop preliminary concept drawings.
• Lead proposal meetings to review scope, costs, and value engineering ideas.
• Oversee buyout processes and selection of subcontractors.
• Conduct bi-weekly job site meetings and ensure project milestones are met.

A Day in the Life:

• Responsible for managerial and administrative aspects of a project. Including, estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation
• Ensure an accurate and complete project estimate
• Work closely with owners and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings
• Participate in the proposal meeting with the owner to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, and provide value engineering ideas
• Oversee the buyout process and the selection of subcontractors
• Conduct bi‑weekly job site meetings
• Make sound decisions under tight deadlines
• Organize, plan and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results
• Commit to quality by evaluating project‑related processes
• Make necessary changes, use customer input to make improvements, and meet/exceed internal and external client expectations
• Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and other associates, while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations

Necessary Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field required
• 0-3 years project management experience with a general contractor preferred but not required
