Job summary

Performance Contracting Group is seeking an entry-level Associate Project Engineer for its PCI Dallas 114 operations based in West Texas. This role serves as a launching pad for future leaders with hands-on experience in project management and estimating.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in construction-related fields, proficiency in MS Office, and strong communication and teamwork abilities. It is safety-sensitive and not visa eligible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Science, or comparable work experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to learn new skills by engaging in technical job functions and applying new skills as they are taught.
• Strong customer service skills and relationship-building abilities.
• Must have critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative.
• Works well under pressure and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conducting safety meetings
• Creating and managing punch lists
• Supporting the Quality Control Measures outlined in PCI's QA/QC program
• Preparing RFI's and submittals
• Labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
• Quantitative takeoffs for material ordering
• Supporting the implementation of the job schedule
• Coordinating warranties and O&M's
• Material coordination with purchase orders and invoicing
