Job summary

Balfour Beatty is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to join the National SPG for the Carolinas division. You will work closely with project leadership to assist with planning, scheduling, documentation, and coordination among team members, subcontractors, and clients.

This role provides hands-on experience across construction disciplines. You will gain exposure to planning, budgeting, and quality control while developing technical and leadership skills needed to manage projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and project coordination principles.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Demonstrated interest in pursuing a long-term career in construction management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, scheduling, documentation, and coordination between team members, subcontractors, and clients.
• Support document control and distribution of revised specifications and drawings.
• Help identify long-lead items, maintain schedules, and participate in planning meetings.
• Track progress and ensure work complies with plans and quality requirements.
• Assist in project turnover by compiling closeout documents and owner manuals.
