Job summary

Beck Group is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to join an extraordinary project team in Fort Lauderdale. You will assist with administration and documentation of the construction project, including procurement, RFIs, submittals, and punch list management under supervision.

You’ll collaborate with project management and field staff, learn to navigate drawings and specs, and contribute to safety and quality control on site. This role offers growth under several senior engineers.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of relevant construction experience and a college degree or equivalent field experience.
• Internship with architectural or commercial construction company is preferred but not required.
• Fundamental understanding of project documents.
• Experience using Excel, Procore, Bluebeam, Egnyte, CMiC, and Revit or similar construction technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, maintain, and understand construction drawings, specs and project documents.
• Develop and maintain submittal logs, specification logs, RFIs, meeting minutes, and as-built drawings.
• Review and expedite shop drawings and submittals.
• Use project management software for project setup and documentation.
• Assist in acquiring project closeout documentation.
• Maintain safety standards and collaborate with team members.
