Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Entry Project Controls Specialist to join our Project Controls Team. The role supports planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to help projects stay on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of project management and Earned Value reporting, with experience in Primavera and EcoSys. This is a hybrid position with travel up to 10% and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with direct related experience considered in lieu of a degree.
• Knowledge of project management processes including budgeting, planning, control, and assurance.
• Experience with Primavera scheduling and Earned Value reporting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports compliance with internal procedures and gathers progress data for schedule and cost updates.
• Develops time-phased cost and resource forecasts and updates requirements as needed.
• Monitors progress of deliverables and performs routine financial analyses.
• Produces earned value reports and communicates status to project managers.
