Job summary

Abbott in Madison, WI is seeking an entry‑level Production Associate II to join the Cancer Diagnostics Production Operations team. You will participate in bulk reagent production, dispensing, label application, and kitting of finished goods under defined protocols.

This role requires teamwork, ability to follow procedures, and strong documentation. You will support inventory, labs, and continuous improvement while working under supervision and lifting up to 40 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in life sciences or related field; or High School Degree/General Education Diploma and 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of Associates degree.
• 1+ years of experience in a general laboratory setting through prior job experience, education, or a combination of both.
• Demonstrated strong documentation skills and attention to detail necessary in a GMP environment.
• Proficient in using basic software applications including Microsoft Office.
• Legal authorization to work in the country of employment without current or future sponsorship.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences (preferred).
• Experience in a GMP environment.
• Experience following standard operating procedures.
• Strong documentation practices, cGMP experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic buffer preparation and manual dispensing and support fill/label processes.
• Assist in documentation and change control processes as needed.
• Assist in generating reports and investigations to address quality issues.
• Support inventory management via Kanban for materials and parts.
• Assist with routine lab cleaning and production support tasks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects and cross-team coordination.
• Follow written procedures with direction and maintain safety practices.
