Job summary

Aerotek is hiring for General Production & forklift Operator roles in Tennessee. This entry-level position supports manufacturing by preparing pallets, operating production equipment, and maintaining a safe, efficient workflow.

You will inspect materials, read simple diagrams, and follow detailed instructions to meet quality standards. Ideal candidates have mechanical inclination, are able to lift up to 52 pounds, and can work a structured shift in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Replace wooden pallets with plastic pallets per schedule.
• Perform occasional preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues by detecting abnormal sounds.
• Read and use basic measurement tools to verify dimensions.
• Read and follow written work instructions and SOPs.
• Lift 10–25 pounds and handle pallets up to 52 pounds.
• Stand frequently and use hands to handle tools and controls.
• Readily reach with hands and arms; tolerate standing and movement.
• Mechanical aptitude and general production skills.
• Read blueprints or simple diagrams when required.

Responsibilities

• Replace pallets and aerate loads prior to printing according to schedule.
• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently while monitoring performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Diagnose equipment issues through early detection and observation.
• Read measurements to verify product dimensions and specs.
• Follow SOPs and safety guidelines in a clean work area.
