Job summary

Kraton is hiring an entry-level production employee for its Savannah, Georgia location. The role involves outdoor chemical process operations using distributed control systems and other automation.

Shifts are rotational, including 8- and 12-hour shifts, with some day and night rotations, weekends, and holidays. Physical tasks include lifting, standing, climbing, and operating heavy equipment while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Chemical Operator certificate or degree preferred.
• 1–3 years experience in chemical manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment to control chemical changes or reactions in the processing of Kraton products.
• Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Adjust equipment control settings and recording data.
• Process sampling and field analysis as required.
• Monitor processes and perform routine area surveillances.
• Lubricate, clean, and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance and inspect completed maintenance work with craft workers.
• Move raw and processed materials.
• Perform routine safety equipment checks and other audits.
• Operate and maintain packaging equipment.
