Insteel Industries is seeking an Industrial Engineer I to identify, develop, justify, and implement projects that reduce operating costs and improve manufacturing processes across the Concrete Reinforcing Products unit.

The role involves gathering data, analyzing processes, directing work methods, and maintaining costing data for quarterly review, with a focus on safety and productivity improvements across all facilities.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, develops, justifies, implements, and follows-up on projects designed to improve safety, quality, productivity.
• Gathers and analyzes manufacturing data to evaluate and improve current manufacturing processes.
• Interprets, develops, plans, assigns, checks and directs work methods; addresses work method complaints and resolves problems.
• Maintains costing data used by sales group and Master Scheduler on a quarterly basis.
• Establishes standards for costing and work procedures across facilities.
