Job summary

Cindavi in Georgia seeks a Chemical Engineer to own a process from lab through plant production, with one-third of time in meetings/reports, one-third developing work instructions, and one-third on the plant floor with operators.

Recent grads are encouraged; 0–5 years' experience acceptable. Base salary starts at $75,000 plus 5–10% annual bonus, plus benefits and 3% 401(k) company match. This is an on-site, Mon–Fri role with limited travel.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering. Recent graduates with internship or co-op experience encouraged and considered equally.
• 0 to 5 years of process engineering, process development, or manufacturing experience.
• Solid applied engineering fundamentals: mass and energy balances, unit operations, and basic process economics.
• Strong communication to work with operators and a customer VP.
• A self-starter who takes instruction well, asks questions when unclear, and does not need daily management to move work forward.
• Dedication and reliability. Small team where each member's contribution is visible or the opposite.
• Willingness to be on call nights and weekends for the assigned process.
• Experience in batch processing is relevant; MS/MBA/PhD/PE welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Own an assigned process end-to-end: technical work, plant execution, materials, and customer reporting.
• Translate customer technology transfer into plant-scale processes across lab, kilo lab, and pilot stages.
• Partner with operators, maintenance, and production to troubleshoot live process issues.
• Develop draft block flow diagrams, mass and energy balances, and specifications for materials and samples.
• Build cost models for new processes and evaluate profitability before they reach the floor.
• Support Process Safety Management activities, process hazard reviews, CPI practices, and regulatory work including PMN submissions.
• Communicate directly with internal teams and external customers from operators to customer leadership.
