Job summary

Printpack Inc in the United States is seeking an entry‑level Press Assistant to support press operations, keep equipment clean, assist with material handling, and help ensure safety and quality standards are met.

You will back up the Press Operator, manage inks and coatings, prepare materials for changeovers, and participate in maintenance and housekeeping routines, with training provided and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must have basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment safely.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to use a computer for basic tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support press operator with quality monitoring and efficiency improvements.
• Manage ink, coating systems, and maintenance of inks, varnishes, coatings, and related materials.
• Handle materials including roll preparation, loading, splicing, and waste removal.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and preventative maintenance programs.
