Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. seeks a Quality Inspector to interpret engineering drawings and inspect products for conformance throughout manufacturing. You will collect test data and apply statistical process control as applicable to verify quality levels.

Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs is required, along with the ability to read blueprints. A high school diploma and about one year in manufacturing or engineering are expected; physical work over a full shift is

Qualifications

Interpreting drawings, schematics to inspect/test product for conformance or customer requirements.
Records test data and applies SPC where applicable.
Documents reports to validate deviations from standards.
Supports calibration of tools and gauges.
Operates measurement equipment (CMMs, profilometer, hardness tester, optical comparators, calipers, micrometers, etc).

Responsibilities

Interpret engineering drawings and standards to determine fit for conformance.
Record and analyze test data for material/product quality.
Document deviation details and any necessary nonconformance reports.
Operate and calibrate measurement tools and gauges.
Coordinate with MRB for containment or sorting as directed by quality leadership.
