Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc in Rochester, MN is seeking a full-time Production/Assembler focused on hand soldering and soldering machine operations to assemble electronic boards.

You will follow documented procedures, read schematics, verify parts, and ensure solder joints meet quality standards while maintaining a clean, safe work area in line with BEI's aim for high reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math functions.
• Ability to read and understand schematic drawings and manufacturing instructions.
• Must complete hand solder certification requirements.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prints Dispatch List and prioritizes production per guidelines.
• Obtains paperwork and drawings with correct dates.
• Verifies parts and materials from kits for each job.
• Hand solder components on boards per instructions and inspect joints.
• Performs solder potting and dispose of contaminated materials.
• Routes boards to the next facility per manufacturing order.
• Performs wire add operations when required.
• Logs boards into PFS system.
• Records labor and WIP data in the system.
• Reports daily throughput to Team Leader.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area (ESD).
• Rotates between rework and line positions as needed.
