Job summary

Halliburton is seeking an entry-level Power Distribution Technician (PDT) Associate in Odessa, TX. Under direct mentorship you will learn preventive/predictive maintenance, diagnostics and repair of electrical equipment related to your location, with a focus on safety and readiness.

You'll assist with LOTO activities, read electrical schematics, and work with medium voltage components up to 15,000 volts as you progress toward independent PDT duties within about one year.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent and a technical certificate in applicable discipline is required.
• Developmental role that will work around three phase power distribution components up to 15,000 volts (medium voltage electricity), PLC hardware, and cabling.
• This role is developmental through OJT and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Under direct mentorship, a PDT Associate will gain knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance, diagnostics and repairing equipment relative to their assigned location.
• Assist mentor with LOTO of equipment and function testing to verify equipment readiness.
• It is expected that someone in this role is able to break out as an independent PDT within 1 year of start.
• Performs work within a variety of Halliburton specific software and hardware.
• Assist with rig up/down of electric frac equipment including making electrical connections and deploying of medium voltage electric cables)
